The two studio directors Sarah Aldridge and Jason Trisley are both experienced registered architects and manage all projects in the studio. Our scope of work is tailored to suit each project, so every client receives a personalised, professional service.

We have design and project management experience in commercial, residential, education, hospitality and master planning projects in Australia and across the world.

Jason has over twenty years experience working on complex projects in Australia, Europe and Japan, ranging from single private and public buildings to multi-million dollar urban regeneration master planning projects. Jason is able to engage with every level of these projects and is equally comfortable with the small details and end-user requirements as with the overall strategic planning.Born and bred on the NSW north coast, Jason combines this global urban experience with his innate understanding of regional NSW communities on his projects at Space Studio.Jason is a registered architect in NSW (ARB 8261) and Tasmania (ARB1285) and the practice nominated architect. Jason is listed on the NSW Heritage Consultant register and is an associate member of Australia International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS 1809).

Since founding Space Studio in 2008, Sarah has worked within the Byron community to design and deliver buildings of a high quality that are very much ‘of their place’. Her extensive design and project management experience gained from working across a broad range of project types has provided her with a high level of expertise in client liaison, an understanding of complex projects and the importance of community consultation.Sarah has a keen interest in promoting excellence in regional architecture and has worked with both the Australian Institute of Architects and the Regional Architecture Association to achieve this. Sarah is Founding Committee member and Secretary of the Regional Architecture Association and past Chair of the NSW Country Division of the Australian Institute of Architects. Sarah sat on the NSW Chapter Council from 2013-2016.Sarah is a registered architect in NSW (ARB 12449) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
